The Energy Industry has considerable diversity and variation in individual business segments. Fairmont Specialty is one carrier who understands the Energy Industry and will write combination accounts involved in Propane, Fuel/Home Heating Oil, Petroleum, and/or Oil & Lubricant distribution. We are active members of numerous state and national industry associations; and have been recognized as a leading proponent of safety for the Energy industry. We provide peace of mind, security and the strength of one of the nation's leading Energy insurance companies. Ancillary operations are eligible subject to the following:

Convenience Stores - We will write a limited number of Convenience Stores provided they are incidental to the petroleum marketer operation; do not operate 24/7; do not sell fireworks and are otherwise acceptable.

Car Washes - We will consider full service car washes subject to a property damage deductible. We are not a market for self-service car washes (wand type).

Service Stations (Full or self-service) - We will consider service stations provided they are limited to minor repair of automobiles, including tune-ups, oil changes, etc. - no brake work or major engine/transmission service.

Trucking - We will consider incidental trucking operations within our business segments. We are not a market for long haul, general freight, or contract carriers.

Fair and competitive pricing, knowledgeable underwriting, timely, accurate policy issuance, and expert Loss Control and Claims handling are the hallmarks of our service.

A pre-inspection is required on all new propane business. All risks should have an acceptable written "Personal Use of Autos" policy.

All coverages are not available in all states.

Minimum Annual Premium, excluding Umbrella: $15,000

Fuel/Home Heating Oil
Accounts that have bulk storage plants and/or deliver home heating fuels primarily to residential customers. Incidental sales and installation of appliances and HVAC sales & service are acceptable.

Oil & Lubricant Distributors
Operations involved in the bulk delivery or packaging of oils and lubricants.

Petroleum Marketer
Risks with bulk storage or delivery of gasoline or diesel fuel to other dealers or distributors. We are not a market for any account that does direct fueling of watercraft or aircraft.

• Direct fueling of aircraft or watercraft
• 24-hour Convenience stores
• Tow Trucks
• Oil Recyclers and/or Waste Oil operations
• Truck Stop

Operations primarily engaged in Petroleum distribution are available in all states except NJ, NY, VA and VT.

Propane
Accounts that have bulk storage plants and/or deliver to and service or install systems for residential, commercial or industrial customers are eligible. These risks may also have cylinder exchange and/or bottle-fill operations. Incidental sales of appliances and HVAC sales/service are acceptable. Accounts must have a written Gas Check and out-of-gas procedure, or similar program, and have documented leak testing on a minimum of 20% of their customers (100% of their customers with places of large assembly, i.e., schools, churches, etc.).

Partners in Safety is a continuing program created in 1986. This program encourages safety in the Propane industry. Through an awards program, Partners in Safety recognizes those Propane Marketers who have had safe operations during a period of three or more years while being insured by Fairmont Specialty.

Utilities (Natural Gas, Water & Sewer)
Property & casualty insurance for investor and municipally owned Natural Gas Utilities and Water & Sewer Systems. Each customer is supported by a team of experienced and dedicated underwriting, loss control, claims and marketing professionals. Coverages provided may include: Property, Inland Marine, Crime, General Liability, Automobile Liability and Physical Damage and Umbrella Liability.

Welding Supply Dealers
Fairmont Specialty's Welding Supply Dealers program is designed for companies that supply various gasses and hard-goods to the welding industry. They may also of a limited amount of repair work on welders and other related equipment. In addition, they may fill bottles and provide for transport via their owned vehicles.
